A private funeral service for Rev. Harold Nobuo Oda, 99-year-old, veteran of U.S. Army, Papa’aloa, Hawaii-born Nisei who passed away on March 9, 2025 in Los Angeles, was held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Kyoko Oda; daughter, Jennifer (David Nelson) Oda; grandchildren, Henry and Nina Nelson; brother, Dr. Yoshio Oda; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
