(86) peacefully passed away on October 17, 2008 in Marina Del Rey. He is survived by his wife, Yoshiye Kobayashi; son, Kenneth (Ellen) Kobayashi; grandchildren, Lisa (Robert) Munley, Karen Harrington, and Bill Martel Jr.; 3 great-grandchildren; sister in law, Fumiye Higashiyama and Mitsume (Masato) Onishi; niece, Barbara (Brian) Nishii; nephews, Alan and Richard Shimizu; also survived by many other relatives.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Drive, Culver City, CA. Additional parking will be available at the Venice Japanese Community Center, 12448 Braddock Dr., LA. Kubota Nikkei Mortuary, Directors (213) 749-1449.
