Dr. Jon Masamitsu Inouye, 64, born in Santa Monica and resident of Culver City, passed away on October 13, 2019. He is survived by his loving mother, Lily Ann Inouye; sister Dr. Sharon Inouye, her husband, Dr. Stephen Helfand, and sons, Benjamin and Jordan; and sister Dr. Caron Inouye, her husband, Edward Garrett, son Dayton and daughter Mariko. He is the son of the late Dr. Mitsuo Inouye. A private memorial service will be held at Venice Free Methodist Church in December 2019. Jon was a faculty member and scholar in computer science and physics.
