(96) peacefully passed away on June 19, 2016 in Los Angeles. She is predeceased by her husband, James Shigeo Kimura, and survived by her daughters, Diane (Mike) Yamano and Edith Chaplin; grandchildren, Jane (Stan Nakagawa) Yamano, Tina (David) Nishida, James Maruki; great-grandchildren, Akemi Maruki, James, Brandon, Mark and Ryan Nishida, and Mia Yamano; sisters, Pauline Nakagawa, Jean Fukumoto, Grace Deguchi, and Sumi (Paul) Endow; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives in the U.S. and Japan.
A private graveside service was held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Gary Oba from West LA United Methodist officiating
