He is survived by his children, Vicki (Dr. Paul) Shinto, Miles (Leti) Yokota, Robin (Mark) Wittenberg of San Diego, CA, John (Helery) Shinzato of San Ramon, CA; grandchildren, Lauren (Dr. Ziad) Dahdul, Todd and Hunter Shinto, Brett (Dr. Jackie), Michelle, Jennifer Yokota, Tyler and Ryan Wittenberg both of San Diego, CA, and Kendall Shinzato of San Ramon, CA; siblings, Alyce (John) Cha, Gracey Kono and Keiko Omori; sister-in-law, Erni (Jun) Arai of Honolulu, HI; brother-in-law, Steven (Leslie) Kodama of Berkeley, CA; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 10:00AM at Cerritos Baptist Church, 11947 Del Amo Blvd., Cerritos. Family requests that flowers be omitted.
