(83) veteran of the Korean Conflict passed away on August 1, 2009 in Santa Monica. He is survived by his wife, Tomiye Mary Nakagiri; daughters, Lynn (Tim Mochizuki) Nakagiri and Laurie (Mike) Amano; grandchildren, Tyson, Derek and Toni Amano; siblings, Margie Morikawa, Jane Shintani, June (Jim) Akioka, Shig (Donna), and Bob Nakagiri; brothers-in-law, Mitsuo (Shizue), Jiro, Frank (Hideko), Hiroshi (Sumako), Roy, and Isamu Tsushima; sisters-in-law, Florence Nakagiri and May (Keigo) Obata; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 7:30PM at VeniceHongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Drive., Culver City, CA.  Additional parking will be available at the Venice Japanese Community Center, 12447 Braddock Dr., LA, CA.
