He is survived by his sisters, Toshiko Komatsu and Tamiko Shiji, both from Japan; sister-in-law, Ayako Nunotani; brother-in-law, Masato Yoshihara; nieces and nephews, Mariko Taniguchi, Yukiko Mishina, Yasunori Komatsu, Yoshihiro Shiji and Nobuyo Hasegawa; and also survived by many other relatives in the US and Japan.
