A private funeral service for Mieko Oyama, 86 year-old, Kagawa, Japan-born Issei, who passed away on September 28, 2018 in Lomita, was held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Gardena Buddhist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Ellen Oyama and Reiko Saiki; grandson, Nicholas Saiki; sister, Chieko (Tadashi) Wakasugi; siblings-in-law, Saburo, Yoshio (Asako) and Saeko Oyama; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
