(89) passed away on February 20, 2012 in Gardena. He is survived by his wife, Irene Yaeko Kono; daughters, Grace (Vernon) Kono-Wells and Deborah (Anthony) Hsu; grandson, Jeremy Hsu; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of HI; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives in US and Japan.
A private funeral service was held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at Gardena Buddhist Temple.
