July 5, 1928 - January 4, 2022 Frank Robert Codina (Aka, Francisco Roberto) who was born on July 5, 1928 in Jerome AZ., peacefully passed away at 8:34 PM on January 4th, 2022. He was 93 years old. His parents, looking for a better life, moved to Los Angeles in 1930, where the family established roots and prospered. Frank was a graduate of Polytechnic High School and served in the US Marine Corps rising to the rank of Corporal and was trained in the Signal Corps. He was a WWII Veteran. He started a family and purchased a home in Norwalk CA., in the mid 1950's, living there until moving back to the city of Los Angeles in the 1970's where he lived, working as a Civil Engineer for the Department of Water and Power.
He is survived by each of his six children: Carlos Codina, Martin Codina, Mary Freidouni, George Codina, Lenny Codina, Gloria Kosbie; and their Spouses; Nancy Codina, Valletta Ciarla, Ana Cecilia Gastelum, Cindy Chang, and Robert Kosbie; two Stepdaughters, Yolanda Morales and Diane Marquez. He had 10 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and step grandchildren as well as his niece, Chris Casaerez.
He was a simple man, with a deep faith in God, and was a committed father and family man.
Dad, we will miss you, but you will always be in our hearts forever and ever until we meet again. Thanks for being there when we needed you.

A Rosary visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kubota Mortuary, 911 Venice Blvd. Los Angeles, 90015.
A private funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Kubota Mortuary, followed with a 1:00 PM public burial and committal service at Calvary Cemetery, 4201 Whittier Blvd, Los Angeles, 90023.
Following the burial, please join the family for a reception at Kolping House, 1225 S. Union Ave., Los Angeles, 90015. Attendees should enter from the 12th Place entrance to the parking lot.
