(78) peacefully passed away on April 14, 2013 in Covina. She was born November 1, 1934 with her twin brother, Lawrence Eugene Burnham, to Warren Kendall Burnham and Beatrice Alice Baugh in Salt Lake City, UT. Raised on a farm in Bountiful, UT until their home burned down on Christmas Eve when they moved to Salt Lake city. Janeen attended Hamilton Elementary School, Roosevelt Junior High, and East High School. She also served an 18-month mission in the Calgary Alberta Canada Mission in 1957. Of her mission, she had said that "it was so cold that people would let us in just to warm up." After her mission ended, she started working for the telephone company until she met Arthur Tahakura Tahauri. After a short courtship, they married in the Salt Lake City temple. They had three children while living in Provo, UT and then two more children born in Chicago, IL. Janeen was known for being able to sew anything, cook anything, and serve anyone. She loved to serve and for example, she would take her children over to weed someone's lawn because she knew there was a need and because she loved to serve. She knew she could not do it herself, but her children could and that they would learn a valuable lesson and continue a legacy of service to others. Janeen loved her calling to serve in the church library and to serve as a visiting teacher for her church sisters. Her compassion and visits often extended beyond her church friends to neighbors and, occasionally total strangers. Her faith has been endearing and exemplary in her testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ.

She is predeceased by her two brothers and four sisters, and survived by her husband and eternal companion, Arthur Tahauri; children, daughter Roti and companion Henry, son Jeffrey and wife Carolyn, daughter Becky and husband Tim, son Teina and wife Monique, and daughter Turia; grandchildren, Cynthia, Nichole, Brittany Moon; Turoa, Jacqueline, Jasmine, Joseph, Jacob, Jordan, Jocelyn, Vaitea, and Alexandre Tahauri, and Heia and Kristopher Shaneberger.
