A funeral service for Curtis Tadashi Tachiki, 48 year-old, LA, CA-born Sansei who passed away on July 2, 2018 in Los Angeles, will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 1:00PM at the Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Dr., Culver City. Additional parking is available at the Venice Japanese Community Center, 12448 Braddock Dr., Los Angeles. Family requests casual attire. In lieu of flowers, donations in Curtis’s name can be made to Boy Scout Troup 764, Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, or the Venice Japanese Community Center.
He is predeceased by his son, Joseph Tachiki and survived by his wife, Christine Tachiki; sons, Daniel and Jonathan Tachiki; parents, Norman and Yoshie Tachiki; siblings, Kimberlee (Brian Chin) Tachiki-Chin and Scott (Mandy) Tachiki of San Anselmo, CA; parents-in-law, Richard and Marcella Tyler of Sherman Oaks, CA; siblings-in-law, Marcella (Jeff) Ketelhut of Thousand Oaks, CA, Mark (Karen) Tyler of San Diego, CA, and Scott (Marie) Tyler of Camarillo, CA; nieces and nephews, Jeremy and Justin Tachiki of San Anselmo, CA, Sarah (Stephen Whitney) Ketelhut, Adam and Ella Tyler of San Diego, CA, Leanne and Jaclyn Tyler of Camarillo, CA.
