(87) passed away on January 12, 2011. She is predeceased by her husband, Takaharu Joe Yamada; survived by her children, Alan (Leslie) Yamada and Joanne (Larry) Yamaki; siblings, Joe (Noriko) Iwama, Amy (Umio) Takehara, and Henry (Yumi) Sumida; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A private funeral service was held on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rev. John Iwohara from Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.
