(75) peacefully passed away on July 4, 2013 in Los Angeles. She is survived by her loving husband, Umio Takehara; son, Ron (Pia) Takehara; granddaughters, Tammy, Kira, and Bo Takehara; brothers, Joe (Noriko) Iwama and Henry (Yumi) Sumida; brothers-in-law, Yone (Jane) and David (Yoko) Takehara; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

According to her wishes, there will be no service.
