(74) peacefully passed away on December 2, 2008 in Santa Monica. He is survived by his wife, Noriko Matsumoto; daughters, Grace (Gregory) Mizushima, Candy (Christian) Meyer, Kathy (Russell) Tagawa; grandchildren, Kylie, Justin, Claire, Kenna, and Nolan; siblings, Masao, Hiroshi (Fumiye) Matsumoto, Masamitsu Nagaoka, and Tomio (Sally) Matsumoto; sisters-in-law, Kuniko Matsumoto, Chieko Takada, and Tomiko (Terutora) Takeshita, brothers-in-law, Masaru (Toshiko), Hiroshi (Emiko) and Takashi (Yoriko) Kofuku; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

 Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at 2:00 PM at West Los Angeles Buddhist Temple, 2003 Corinth Ave., West LA.
