A private funeral service for Chieko Terada, 93 year-old, Yamguchi-ken, Japan born Issei, who passed away on October 31, 2009 in Gardena was held on Friday, November 6, 2009 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rev. John Iwohara of Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating. 

She is survived by her children, Masamitsu (Tokuko) Terada of Thousand Oaks, Shizue Nakamura, Kayoko (Keiji) Okuno, Yoshitomo (Tomasa) Terada, and Kumiko (Robert) Takahashi; 10 grand children; 8 great grand children; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
