A funeral service for Daniel Akira Nakagiri, Los Angeles, CA-born Sansei and Army Veteran, will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Dr., Culver City.

He is survived by his daughters, Cindy (Erik) Matsubayashi and Cheryl Nakagiri; granddaughters, Leah and Kelly Matsubayashi; sisters, Elaine (Sean) McCarthy and Karen Eguchi; brother, Tommy Nakagiri; brothers-in-law, Stacy (Joyce) and Gary (Louise) Ino; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
