A private funeral service for Eddie S. Sakaguchi, 76 year-old, Wakayama, Japan born Issei, who passed away on October 16, 2009 in Mission Hills was held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Green Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Patricia Usuki of San Fernando Valley Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating. 

He is survived by his wife, Grace Sakaguchi; son, Allen (Caryn) Sakaguchi; grandson, Shawn (Michelle) Sakaguchi; brother, Isao (Junko) Sakaguchi; half brother-in-law, Richard (Nellie) Maeda; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
