(94) peacefully passed away on August 13, 2009 in Gardena. He is survived by his wife, Masako Tamae; children, Mitzi (George) Akamine, Hiroko (Yoji) Niho, Richard (Momoko) and Paul (Hide) Tamae; siblings, Jean Kawakone from Hawaii, Clara Matsue (Theodore) Uyema, Seiki (Yoko) Tamae, Betty Fumiko Ganiku from Hawaii, and Robert Shigeko Tamae; sisters-in-law, Grace Takeko Tamae and Sueko (Ichiro) Moroga, the latter from Japan; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 25th, 2009 at 10:00AM at KoyasanBuddhist Temple, 342 E. First Street, LA, CA. Family requests that flowers be omitted.
