(78) veteran of the Korean Conflict passed away on September 12, 2010 in Los Angeles. He is survived by his wife, Shimeko Nakagawa; children, Cindy (Frank) Takaki, Dean (Phyllis) Nakagawa; grandchildren, Katie and Marc Takaki, and Cody Nakagawa; siblings, Kazue Takamura, Reiko and Hajime (Hisako) Nakagawa, Ruth-Hisae (Tom) Kotow; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A private funeral service was held on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rev. Fumiaki Usuki of West LA Buddhist Church officiating.
