(82) peacefully passed away on April 14, 2009 in Los Angeles. He is survived by his wife, Hisako Miyashiro; children, Sally Miyashiro of Florida; sons, Edward and Ernest Miyashiro; brother, Kunio Miyagi of Okinawa, Japan; sister-in-law, Kiyoko Fukuchi, Fumiko Miyagi and Teruko (Masao) Sakumoto latter two of Okinawa, Japan; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 S. Central Ave., Los Angeles, CA. Kubota Nikkei Mortuary, Directors (213) 749-1449. Family requests that flowers be omitted.
