A funeral service for Gail Katsuko Yanai, 85-year-old, Seattle, Wash.-born Sansei who passed away on February 1, 2026 in Torrance, will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026, 1 p.m. at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Yanai; children, Mark (Noemi) Yanai and Catherine (Kenneth) Kawamura; grandchildren, Gabby, Claire, Jillian Yanai, Joseph Lew; siblings, Marsha (Roy) Hatanaka, Alan and Eric Nakamura;  also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
