A memorial service for George Yasuo Hirano, 95-year-old, Veteran of US Army, San Francisco, CA born Nisei who passed away on November 17, 2023 in Torrance, will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 W. 158th St., Gardena. Attire is business casual. In lieu of flowers and koden, a donation to Gardena Valley Baptist Church is kindly requested.

He is survived by his wife, Shigeko Hirano; sons, Dr. Robert (Lynn), Dr. Paul (Wendy) and James (Wendy) Hirano; grandchildren, Christina (Andrew) Sunada, Derek (Michelle) Hirano, Stephanie (Elise) Nishirano, Claire (Torin) Ng, Candace, Michele, Kent (Claire) and Brandon Hirano; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
