(85) passed away on May 14, 2009 in Gilbert, Arizona. She is survived by her children, Aileen Omote, Rodney (Nancy) Nakamoto from Arizona, and Jennie (David) Lee; grandchildren, Michelle and Eric Nakamoto both from Arizona, Kristina and Carrie Lee; siblings, George (Toyoko) and Richard (Shirley) Fukuhara, the latter from Hawaii, and Jeanne Tochimura from Hawaii; sister-in-laws, Kimi Fukuhara and Janet Fukuhara; also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

A private memorial service was held on Monday, June 8, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church of Santa Monica with Rev. Gail Nakamura Messner from West LA United Methodist Church officiating.
