(77), Veteran of the Korean Conflict and long time Landscape Contractor, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2009 at his home in Gardena. He is survived by his wife, Takako Yamashiro; sons, Dennis, Chris (Margaret) and Stuart Yamashiro; daughter, Dr. Amy Yamashiro (Dr. John) Mc Laughlin of Arlington, VA; grand children, Richard and Andrew Yamashiro, Denise (Mike) Miller, Lindsey Yamashiro, and William McLaughlin; brother-in-laws, Choye and Akira Sugita; sister-in-laws, Chiyeko Tsukashima and Fusae Sugita; also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 10:00AM at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena, CA. Family requests that flowers be omitted.
