A funeral service for Helen Lew Nakawatase, 71 year-old, Los Angeles, CA-born Nisei, who passed away on April 11, 2026 in Baldwin Park, CA, was held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Senshin Buddhist Temple.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Nakawatase; children, Derek and Kelly (Daniel Rossi) Nakawatase; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
