A funeral service for Hidemi Ohkawahira, 88 year-old, Kagoshima, Japan born Issei who passed away on October 30, 2025 in Culver City, will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 11:00AM at West LA Buddhist Temple, 2003 S. Corinth Ave., Los Angeles.

He is survived by his wife, Kayo Ohkawahira; children, Tracy (Diane) Ohkawahira and Kiku Nakaba; grandsons, Nathan and Ryan Ohkawahira, Bryce Nakaba; sister-in-law, Mabel Shimasaki; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
