(86), Veteran of the Army, passed away on December 14, 2011 in Los Angeles. He is survived by his daughter, Carol (Paul) Miyahira; grandchildren, Eric, Justin and Amanda Miyahira; brother, Yoshio (Sachiko) Higa; sisters, Nancy (Morris) Nakaishi and Shirley (Herbert) Ota of HI; sister-in-law, Tokiko Nakachi of HI; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A private funeral service was held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rev. Richard Furukawa from Johrei Fellowship Los Angeles Center officiating.
