Private funeral service for Hiroyuki T. Koyanagi, 87 year-old, Walnut Grove, CA born Nisei, who peacefully passed away on January 9, 2009 in Los Angeles, was held on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rimban George C. Matsubayashi of L.A. Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating. 

He is survived by his wife, Sue Setsuko Koyanagi; sons, Richard Masato (Mauren) Koyanagi of Seattle, WA and Jerry Jiro (Carrie Keiko) Koyanagi; grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer Koyanagi; brother-in-law, Jack of Stockton, CA and Kingo (Ardith) Teranishi; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
