(86) peacefully passed away on October 17, 2008 in Marina Del Rey. He is survived by his wife, Yoshiye Kobayashi; son, Kenneth (Ellen) Kobayashi; grandchildren, Lisa (Robert) Munley, Karen Harrington, and Bill Martel Jr.; 3 great-grandchildren; sister in law, Fumiye Higashiyama and Mitsume (Masato) Onishi; niece, Barbara (Brian) Nishii; nephews, Alan and Richard Shimizu; also survived by many other relatives.
