(81) peacefully passed away on February 7, 2009 in Monterey Park. He is survived by his wife, Sumiko Funo; daughter, Leslie Funo; brother, Masuo (Fumie) Funo; sisters-in-law, Tomiko Domoto, Chikaye Sande Hashimoto, and Masami Azeka, also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 11:00AM at Nishi Hongwanji BuddhistTemple, 815 E. First Street, LA, CA. Family requests that flowers be omitted.
