(88) veteran of WWII, passed away on October 1, 2010 in Santa Monica. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Hamashita; children, Glenn, Randy (Pam), Gerry Hamashita; grandchildren Brent, Corey, Byrce, and Evan Hamashita; siblings, Helen Uyeno, Eiko Matsunaga, and Emi Tanaka; sister-in-law, Evelyn (Bill) Yamamoto; brothers-in-law, Ken (Lily) Sugino and Bob (Lynda) Sugino; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 7:30PM at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Drive, Culver City, CA. Additional parking will be available at the Venice Japanese Community Center, 12448 Braddock Dr., LA. Family requests that flowers be omitted.
