(48) passed away on April 18, 2011 in Los Angeles. She is survived by her beloved companion Felipe Castaneda; her siblings, Linda (Manabu) Takade and Paul Shinto; three nephews, Darrin, Mitchell, and Scotty; also survived by other relatives.

A private funeral service was held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rimban Hiroshi Abiko from LA Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.
