(77) passed away on November 8, 2011 in Torrance. He is survived by his wife, Chieko Yanagita; children, Richard, Mas Yanagida and Janet (Bob) Suda; granddaughtersRachel Yanagida and Kailey Suda; mother, Fude Yanagida of Japan; siblings, Shoichiro Yanagida and many brothers and sisters all of Japan; brother-in-law, Makoto Fujishige and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena, CA, with Rev. Marvin Harada from Orange County Buddhist Church officiating.
