(88) passed away on October 1, 2011 in Anaheim.She is survived by her children, June Yuko Makiyama and Ron Hitoshi Shigaura; grandchildren, Cary Shinobu and Erin Emiko Makiyama; brothers, Koichi (Hideko) and Kenji (Yoshiko) Kaido of Japan; brothers-in-law, Toshio Otake of Japan, Minoru, Toru, Paul Kiyoshi (Sumiko) Endo and Hiroshi Igarashi; sisters-in-law, Terry Teruko Shimatsu of San Diego and Nobuko Taniguchi of Arizona; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives in U.S. and Japan.

A private funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rimban Hiroshi Abiko from LA Hompa Honwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.
