(94) veteran of WWII passed away on October 16, 2009 in Gardena. He is survived by his wife, Harue Miyake; sons, Bruce and Glenn (Hitomi) Miyake; grandson, Loren Miyake; siblings, Ocean and George Miyake, Shiz Okura, Perry (Alice) Miyake, and Yuri (Ken) Amamoto; brothers-in-law, Shiro (Bernice) and Joe Nagaoka; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A private funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Pacific Crest Cemetery with Pastor Ron Miyake from Evergreen Baptist Church of San Gabriel Valley officiating.
