A private funeral service for Marie M. Toya, 91 year-old, Los Angeles, CA born Nisei, resident of West LA, who passed away on February 15, 2010 in Santa Monica was held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple. 

She is survived by her son, Dennis M. (Angela) Toya, daughters, Brenda (Yoshi) Fujisawa, Janis (Sam Nitao) Toya, Gail S. (Wayne) Morton of Maui, Hawaii; sister, Hiroko (Mamoru) Shishido; brother-in-law, George (May) Toya; sisters-in-law, Yuki Sakurai and Grace (Dr.Jack) Fujimoto; also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and relatives.
