(86) veteran of WWII, passed away on June 13, 2010 in San Diego. He is predeceased by his wife Lorraine and son Jeffrey and survived by his children, Daniel (Amy) and Randy (Carol) Murai and Carol (Rick) Kawakami; daughter in law, Joyce Murai; grandchildren, Jason Murai, Wendy (Kevin) Arima, Brian, Lindsay and Danielle Murai, Kristi and Kyle Kawakami; siblings, Hideko (Masa) Arisumi, Nobuo (Nancy) and Bert (Joan) Murai, Jane Toyomura, Harry (Ruby) and Fumio (Gayle) Murai; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 12:00PM at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary, 911 Venice Blvd., LA, with Rev. Naomi Nakano of Gardena Buddhist Church officiating. Family requests that flowers be omitted and for casual attire.
