(88) passed away on February 15, 2012 in Los Angeles. He is survived by his wife; Mitsume Onishi; children, Peggy Miyagishima and Randy (Susan) Onishi: grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer), Scott (Rumi), Roger, Staci and Greg Miyagishima, Spencer and Andrew Onishi; great grandchildren, Kyle and Chloe Miyagishima; sister-in-law, Fumiye Higashiyama; brother-in-law, Hank Yumikura; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Senshin Buddhist Temple, 1311 W. 37th Street Los Angeles. Family requests that flowers be omitted.
