(91) passed away on July 22, 2009 in Los Angeles. She is survived by her children, Sharon (Walt) Futa and Michael (Susan) Kato; grandchildren, Janelle Futa and Ryan Kato; siblings, Margie Morikawa, Jane Shintani, June (Jim) Akioka, Shig (Donna), Jim (Mary) and Bob Nakagiri; sisters-in-law, Florence Nakagiri and Yuriko Yamaguchi, the latter from Japan; brother-in-law, Mitsuru (Hiroko) Kato of Japan; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 7:30PM at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Drive., Culver City, CA. Additional parking will be available at the Venice Japanese Community Center, 12447 Braddock Dr., LA, CA.
