(82) peacefully passed away on October 23, 2008 in Monterey Park. She is survived by her husband, Joe Shiro Kawata; sons, Dr. Steven (Dulcie), Donald (Janyce) Kawata; daughters, Pamela (Jerry) Amimoto and Jan (Scott) Kajiya; grandchildren, Courtney, Taryn, Kelly, Quinn Kawata, Jessie, Joseph, Remy Kawata, Lauren, Michael and Camaryn Amimoto, Enzo Kajiya; sister, ShizuyeTsuno; brother, Yoneo (Amie) Maruyama; sister, Asako Nishimura; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
