He is survived by his wife, Yoko Yanai; children, Takashi (Patricia) Yanai, Satoshi (JoAn) Yanai; grandchildren, Emi, Kai, Emma and Charlie Yanai; sibling, Tetsuo Yanai of Japan; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 22 at 10:30 AM at W. L.A. Buddhist Temple, 2003 S. Corinth Ave., Los Angeles.
