A funeral service for Misako Miyagishima, 87 year-old, Gifu, Japan born Issei, who passed away on August 23, 2011 in Gardena will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 11:00AM under the auspices of Gardena Buddhist Fujinkai at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena with Rev. Marvin Harada from Orange County Buddhist Church officiating.

She is survived by her husband, Masaaki Miyagishima; children, Lester Miyagishima and Juliann (Wade) Inouye; grandchildren, Daniel and Derek Inouye; siblings, Naoki, Yoshisuke, Norio, Shuichi (Kayoko) Hosokawa, Chizuko Ito and Chitoe Furuta all of Japan; brothers-in-law, Hisa (Nancy) and Tomio (Eiko) Miyagishima; sisters-in-law, Hanako Ito and Fumiko Matsumoto; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
