A private funeral service for Misuko Kanto, 90 year-old, Pasadena, CA born Kibei Nisei, who passed away on January 2, 2011 in Gardena was held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rev. Mario Kawakami from Seicho-No-Ie officiating.

 She is survived by her daughter, Satomi Kanto; sons, Kingo (Michiko) and Koji (Hatsuyo) Sugano, both of Japan; also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
