(85) veteran of WWII 442nd R.C.T., “I” Company, passed away on April 21, 2010 in Montebello. He is survived by his wife, Louise Setsuko Shinto; children; Dr. Rick (Patee) Shinto, Sharon (Ron) Imada, and Dr. Paul (Vicki) Shinto; grandchildren, Jonathan and Alyssa Shinto, Brett and Eryn Imada, Lauren, Todd, and M. Hunter Shinto; brothers, Jack (Joanne) of New Mexico, and Edward (Chiye) Shinto; brothers-in-law, Allan (Frances) and Steve (Sumi) Kobata; sisters-in-law, Jean and Helen Kobata; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 11:00AM at Grace First Presbyterian Church, 3955 North Studebaker Road, Long Beach, CA with Rev. Mitchell Young from Montebello Plymouth Congregational Church officiating. Family requests that flowers be omitted.
