(79) peacefully passed away on May 27, 2009 in Los Angeles. He is survived by his siblings, Peter Murai, Ethel (Mas) Arisumi, Nobuo (Nancy) Murai, Bert (Joan) Murai from Maui, HI, Jane Toyomura, Harry (Ruby) and Fumio (Gail) Murai the later from San Jose, CA; nieces, Claire (Mas) Yamada and Jeannie (Abel) Fragoza; best friend, Pete (Diane) Gonzalez of Victorville, CA; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A private funeral service was held on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rev. Naomi Nakano from Gardena Buddhist Church officiating.
