(87) passed away on July 16, 2012 in Los Angeles. He is survived by his daughters, Michiko (Kazumi) Ogawa and Noriko (Shelley) Norwood; grandsons, Ken and Jay Ogawa, and Joshua Norwood; siblings, Susumu and Masayuki Kubo, and Junko Mizuno, all of Japan; a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law in Japan; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives in US and Japan.

A private funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple.
