A private funeral service for Seiryu Oshiro, 74 year-old from Okinawa, Japan and resident of Los Angeles who passed away on January 29, 2010, at St. Vincent Medical Center was held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rimban Hiroshi Abiko of Hompa Hongwanji Rafu Betsuin officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Setsuko Oshiro; two children, Takashi (Kim) Oshiro of Ohio and Yukiko (Keith) Loritz of Anaheim Hills; grandchildren, Kalia, Ty Oshiro and Sakura and Hikaru Loritz; brother, Seisho (Yoshiko) Oshiro and sister, Yoshiko Oshiro both of Okinawa; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
