(80), master Shigin instructor and veteran of the Korean Conflict, peacefully passed away on March 24, 2009 in Los Angeles. He is survived by his wife, Yoshie Nakao; son, Stephen; daughters, Kathy Larson, Janet (Tom) DaVall and Denise (Bill) Ramires; step-son, Joe (Hiroko) Ogawa; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 7:30PM at the Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Drive, Los Angeles, CA. Additional parking is available at the Venice Japanese Community Center, 12448 Braddock Dr., Los Angeles. Family requests that flowers be omitted.
