(81) peacefully passed away on January 22, 2009 in Los Angeles. He is survived by his wife, Fumiko Nishimura; son, Robin (Grace) Nishimura; daughter, Wendy (Daniel) Nakano; grandchildren, Evan Nakano, Kristen (John) Vo; Brittni and Kyle Nishimura; brother, Harold (Jane) Nishimura; sisters, Betty (John) Medeiros of Kaneohe, HI and Edith (Edward) Kunishige; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A private memorial service was held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rev. Stephen Langley from Gardena Valley Baptist Church officiating.
